Tina’s organic Verna lemons are superb. Their juiciness, sweetness and few seeds, makes them perfect for a jug of delicious, ice-cold lemonade or limoncello in the summer. Tina recommends them for cooking, and she serves dishes with Verna lemons to her guests at her bed & breakfast in Andalusia, Spain. Her favorite dishes with her organic lemons are paella, salads, seafood and lemon cake. The Verna lemon tree flourishes in the Andalusian climate, and it blooms twice a year between early May and late September. An organic Verna lemon fresh from the farm, truly is the taste of summer.
Lemon is a rich in vitamin C and antioxidants. Lemons can be used with almost all types of dishes, and are a good substitute for salt. Use them as a dessert ingredient or your ginger-lemon ‘shots’, squeeze the lemon over your seafood, or turn your lemons into an ice-cold, refreshing lemonade!
Storage and shelf life
Since our citrus fruits are completely natural without surface treatment, they have a shorter shelf life. When stored in 4°C – 8°C, they can last for up to 4 weeks. However their best taste is expressed at room temperature.
